Mission Statement

Providing free primary care to empower a community in need. 

This mission is quite broad, yet straightforward enough I feel the target audience will understand its intended purpose. As Berkowitz states, there should be a recognition of what the business represents and what the consumer wants- and with the mission statement we accomplish both (Berkowitz, 2022, pg. 59). The business wants to serve a community in need, and the consumer wants free healthcare. Thus, the statement highlights the action (primary care), target
market (people of the community), and the outcome to measure (helping people in need). This mission statement highlights the point of the goal, philosophy, self-concept, public image, etc., of the Student Outreach Clinic’s focus on primary care. Furthermore, the statement is less than ten words, which as shared by Berkowitz, is preferable. I want the community to feel like they have a reliable and free resource to trust and receive primary care from. The mission statement
highlights the free service, in hopes to enlighten stress the consumer is holding.
